Rajesh (Raj) Thankappan - CEO

Rajesh Thankappan, as CEO, focusses on setting strategic direction and brand positioning while building and nurturing a powerful leadership team. Rajesh has been associated with the industry since inception. He has a strong track record in risk and operations management and optimization. He has over 15 years of experience in managing people, projects and operations in Asia, Europe and North America across financial services, technology consulting and manufacturing industries.

Before joining Epicenter, Rajesh worked as the Senior Vice President at Providian Financial Corporation, a Fortune 500 Company. He was instrumental in building Providian’s wholly owned subsidiary in India and was responsible for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Corporate Vendor Management (CVM). Outsourced over 2500 full time employees (FTE) of work to global vendors with onshore and offshore operations, including, customer service, telemarketing, collections, IT and BPO. Prior to joining Providian in 1999, he spent six years with General Electric, where his work ranged from product development to customer consulting in Europe and Japan.

Rajesh played a key role in re-engineering processes at Providian and GE using Six Sigma methodology. Under his leadership, Epicenter gained a competitive edge through operational excellence and enabling its clients to drive profitable outcomes. Rajesh holds a Masters in Engineering and Management of Technology, and a B.S. in Mechanical and Material Science Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.


Manjari Sabnis – CFO
Manjari Sabnis joined Epicenter in June 2008 and heads the Finance and Business Process Risk Management Systems (BPRMS) functions. She is a Chartered Accountant with a software diploma from National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT).

Manjari has over 16 years of multi-disciplinary experience in the field of corporate finance, financial accounting and costing and management information systems. Prior to joining epicenter, she worked with leading organizations – Aarti group and Kotak Mahindra in various capacities.


Altaf Sayed – VP – Sales & Solutions (Growth and Human Capital)
Altaf Sayed has been with Epicenter since 2001. Before moving to his current role, he handled multiple responsibilities, from heading the domestic operations group, support functions of HR to administration and workforce management. Altaf has an extensive background in training and development and managing operations and corporate support functions throughout his tenure at Epicenter.

As Vice President, Sales and Solutions, he provides strategic support in driving business growth. He has been instrumental in creating high performing team and nurturing strong and lasting client relationship. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Power and Diploma in Electrical Engineering.


Sahir Sekhon – Vice President - Operations
Sahir Sekhon is responsible for managing international and domestic operations. Has been with Epicenter since 2002, Sahir has managed versatile roles in operations, quality assurance, corporate strategy, business development and administration. He has also successfully handled large scale operations, business development and transition using Six Sigma process-oriented execution and focused delivery methodology.

In his current role he is responsible for managing internal and external service delivery and driving top line growth through enhanced operational and business performance. He is a graduate in Science and holds a Masters’ in Business Administration in Financial


Pravin Thombare – VP – Technology
Pravin Thombare has been with Epicenter for over eight years and currently heads the information technology (IT) department at Epicenter. He brings years of experience and expertise in technology operations, architecture and planning and project management. Pravin has been responsible for service delivery for multiple international and domestic clients at Epicenter achieving tremendous success in delighting clients through excellence in process re-engineering.

In his current role, he is responsible for Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), project management, design and implementation of new technologies and governance. He ensures strict adherence to Payment Card Industry (PCI), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and holds an ITIL certification.
