Management and Executive Team

Rajesh (Raj) Thankappan - Chief Executive Officer
BPO visionary involved in the industry from its inception and with a proven ability to create persuasive total value propositions by leveraging expertise in transaction management, risk analysis, mitigation and operational optimization 20 years experience in managing people, projects and operations in Asia, Europe and North America across financial services, technology consulting and manufacturing industries.

Masters in Engineering and Management of Technology, and a B.S. in Mechanical and Material Science Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. Senior Vice President at Providian Financial Corporation, a Fortune 500 Company. Built Providian’s wholly owned subsidiary in India and was responsible for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Corporate Vendor Management (CVM). Outsourced over 2500 FTE of work to global vendors with onshore and offshore operations, including, customer service, telemarketing, collections, IT and BPO. Prior to joining Providian in 1999, he spent six years with General Electric, where his work ranged from product development to customer consulting in Europe and Japan.

Highly experienced in using Six Sigma methodology to re-engineer processes at Providian and GE. Positioned Epicenter to lead market by improving service levels significantly above the rest of the field.


Sahir Sekhon – Vice President - Operations
Sahir leads all of the international operations – voice and back office as well as business development efforts at Epicenter. In addition to this, he also manages the CEO’s office as the Executive Assistant to Rajesh Thankappan

Sahir has been with Epicenter for over the last 12 years and has managed versatile roles in operations, quality assurance, corporate strategy, business development and administration during his tenure with Epicenter. Managing internal and external Customer SLA’s and topline margin based growth are some of his key responsibilities.

A graduate in Science and a Masters in Business Administration in Financial Management, through a Six Sigma process oriented execution focused delivery methodology, Sahir has been able to successfully lead large operation teams, as well as lead the business development and transition function for the enterprise through his stint at Epicenter.


Pravin Thombare – VP – Technology & CISO
Pravin currently heads the Technology department at Epicenter and has been associated with Epicenter over the last 5 years. He has over 9 years of experience in Technology Operations, Architecture & Planning and Project Management.

Pravin has been responsible for service delivery for multiple international and Domestic clients at Epicenter achieving tremendous success in meeting and exceeding customer SLAs, through our methodology of operational excellence and process re-engineering.

His experience is enhanced by his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and ITIL certification.

As the Head of Technology, Pravin is responsible for overall leadership of the Technology department and Support staff and leads our efforts in following areas:

  • 24 x 7 Technology Operations (ITSM)
  • Project Management
  • Evaluation, Design and Implement new Technologies.
  • Technology Governance
  • Adherence to PCI, ISO and ITIL Processes

Altaf Sayed – VP – Sales & Solutions
Altaf has been with Epicenter for over 12 years handling a variety of responsibilities in heading the domestic operations group and support functions of HR, Admin and WFM.

He hails from an engineering background, having completed his diploma in Electrical Engineering and BE in Electronics and Power

As a leader in providing strategic support in his diversified role and leading a 500+ FTE team, Altaf has an extensive background in training and development, operations and managing corporate support functions through his tenure at Epicenter.
